Sikhala says refused to be capped by Mnangagwa’s ‘cursed hands’

Firebrand MDC Alliance top official Job Sikhala has dismissed claims he allowed Midlands State University Chancellor and State President Emmerson Mnangagwa to cap him when the opposition legislator graduated with a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in Constitutional and Human Rights Law this past week.

Mnangagwa capped 6 594 graduates at the Gweru based tertiary institution this past week.

Among them was Sikhala, whose thesis he says was inspired by the 65 times he has been arrested for his political activism by the current Zanu PF led regime.

In a defiant Tweet, Sikhala had harsh words for the Zanu PF number one he described as an idiot.

“Desperate 4 legitimacy & endorsement Varakashi elements hallucinate seeing me being graduated by their idiot ED.

“I will not allow my head 2 be touched by cursed hands of the man.

“Mnangagwa does not have any degree let alone a Masters at law 2 deserve graduating anyone,” said the Zengeza MP.

His thread was however inundated with comments from some Twitter users who felt the politician was stooping too low by failing to realise Mnangagwa remains President and thus, ever positioned to determine matters affecting his life nomatter how Sikhala could deny it.
