LATEST: Chamisa predicts victory in Wednesday poll challenge

MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa says he was expecting nothing less than a favourable outcome to his election petition he filed recently through the Constitutional Court in attempts to reverse President-elect Emmerson Mnangagwa’s controversial victory in the July 30 election.
At a media briefing in Harare this Monday afternoon, Chamisa said he still had other alternatives to resort to in the event the court process did not yield the desired result.
Chamisa said he was confident his legal team has put up a strong case against Mnangagwa’s victory adding that he has called on the world to maintain close scrutiny on the handling of the high profile case amid fears local courts could be under pressure to grant a ruling that is in the incumbent’s favour.
