‘Gay gangster’ Lumumba in threat to bed Mliswa’s wife
By Staff Reporter
THE spat between Temba Mliswa and Acie Lumumba turned vulgar on Thursday when the Zanu PF youth empowerment lobbyist told a SAPES Trust discussion forum same day the only way he could prove he was not gay as alleged by the Norton MP was to both bed and impregnate one of Mliswa’s “wives” or daughters.
Earlier, Mliswa had posted a cheeky comment on twitter, referring to Lumumba as a gay gangster.
“Remember I said that my stance on corruption would draw attack? Word has it William Mutumanje (Acie Lumumba), a young man I bought a ticket to return from SA when I found him stranded at the airport, is ‘backed’ (pun intended) by Robin Vela? Rise of the gay gangsters? I rest my case,” said Mliswa, who as parliament’s committee chair on Mines and Energy has launched an anti-corruption crusade against his ex-Zanu PF allies.
His comments elicited a vicious response from Lumumba who threatened to frig one of the politician’s wives or daughters to prove him wrong.
“Temba Mliswa made an allegation towards me today (Thursday). He says I am a gay gangster,” Lumumba said during a discussion forum attended by dozens of Harare youths.
“Temba must have a register of gay people in Zimbabwe. You must have a register to be able to go to someone and say you are gay and not gay because he seems to always know the people who he believes are gay.
“So I don’t know where he gets this register from but there is a very simple way. Temba has many wives and many daughters; Temba bring one of either wife or daughter uone yaka-yaka. I will create your relatives. Then you see that I am a gangster for sure.”
Sexual slurs are a favourite with Lumumba who once made a “f*** you” remark towards then President Robert Mugabe during a press briefing following the former’s acrimonious exit from Zanu PF.
Equally, Mliswa has never refrained from referring to his old Zanu PF allies as gay gangsters during fall-outs.
He has often used the spiteful expression on former Zanu PF cabinet ministers Jonathan Moyo and Saviour Kasukuwere.
Gay gangster is an expression which was coined by Mugabe to refer to then British Prime Minister Tony Blair and some British gay rights activists who often accosted him in London in attempts to effect “citizen arrest” on the now ousted leader over his uncompromising stance against gays.
