Court orders VP Chiwenga to stay with wife, Marry
By Staff Reporter
VICE President Constantino Chiwenga could soon find himself living under the same roof with his estranged wife, Marry after the High Court Friday barred the ex-military boss from blocking the former model from accessing the family home in Harare’s upmarket Borrowdale suburb, her children and property.
The order was passed following a court application filed by Marry when she returned from remand prison early this month to find she had been blocked from her accessing her matrimonial home.
Marry faces charges of attempting to kill the country’s second in charge when he was battling for life at a South African hospital sometime last year, fraud and money laundering.
She denies the charges.
The couple is involved in a messy divorce that has seen the parties inadvertently reveal each other’s secrets in attempts to outdo each other within the courts.
