BREAKING: UZ students refuse to write exams over Grace ‘fake’ PhD
STUDENTS at the University of Zimbabwe have reportedly refused to sit for their exams on Monday morning demanding the revocation of First Lady, Grace Mugabe’s controversial PhD.
The now commonly referred to Dr Amai Grace was in 2014 conferred with a doctorate when she had enrolled for only two months.
Her thesis was on the changing social structure and functions of the family.
Grace was capped by President Robert Mugabe, who is Chancellor of all State Universities.
Her conferment of the controversial academic achievement ignited wide demands for her PhD to be revoked but this was ignored by both Higher and Tertiary Education Minister Jonathan Moyo and the Vice Chancellor of the country’s top learning institution.
Renewed calls for the revocation of the doctorate have found momentum in invigorated demands for President Mugabe to give up his job.
