FC Platinum consolidate premiership top spot, Caps win

Log leaders FC Platinum beat Harare City 2-0 to consolidate their position at the top of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League in a match played at the National Sports Stadium this Saturday.

Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya scored for the reigning champions with just a minute into the match while Innocent Muchaneka got the second with five minutes to go to the breather.

In other matches played Saturday, Caps United continued on their revival path after beating Whawha 2-1 at Ascot while ZPC Kariba and Chicken Inn played to a goalless draw at Nyamhunga.

Black Rhinos edged Cranborne Bullets by a goal to nil at Vengere.


Bulawayo City continued with their poor form in the current premiership marathon after losing 0-1 to visiting Herentals at Barbourfields.

Week 23 of the race continues this Sunday with Highlanders taking on Tenax at Barbourfields while Dynamos welcome Bulawayo Chiefs at the National Sports Stadium.

Ngezi Platinum entertain Triangle at Baobab.
