Bulawayo Chiefs have fired its two assistant coaches and reinstated a former coach to take up their position in what could be a bid to rescue the ambitious outfit’s derailing premiership campaign.

In a statement, club secretary general Dumisani Sibanda said, “We would like to announce that the Team has mutually agreed to part ways with Assistant Coaches Mark Mathe and Farai Tawachera with immediate effect.

Added Sibanda, “Coach Thulani ’Toots’ Sibanda returns to the team to join the Technical team that will continue to be led by coach Nilton Terrosso.”

Newly reinstated coach Sibanda was fired September last year and replaced with Mathe.

Chiefs are keep to return to winning ways after just two wins from nine matches played so far in the 2021-22 league race.

In their last five games, they have only managed to collect two points out of a possible 15.

The team is sitting on position 12 on the log standings, 13 points behind log leaders and neighbours Chicken Inn who have played the same number of games.
