Caps United were this Saturday 1-0 victors away to Bulawayo Chiefs as the Harare side continues with its resurgence after a poor start to their current Castle Lager Premier Soccer League campaign.
Although the result was a huge drop from the prolific 6-0 thrashing of WhaWha last week, it was enough to ensure the Lloyd Chitembwe coached side carried the much-needed three points back to the capital city.
Veteran forward William Manondo found the target after 70 minutes of play to give the visitors an advantage which they took to the final whistle.
The victory is a huge inspiration to the former champions who face Bulawayo giants Highlanders in their next match in Harare next week.
Elsewhere, Ngezi Platinum won 3-1 over Cranborne Bullets.
The other three premiership matches played in different venues in the country saw strikers go AWOL as they all ended with nil-all draws.
ZPC Kariba drew 0-0 with Bulawayo Chiefs while Harare City and Chicken Inn also registered goalless score line.
Black Rhinos and FC Platinum also drew their encounter without a goal scored in the match.
