South Africa based ex-football star and budding businessman Gabriel Nyoni has vehemently denied his choice of an all yellow outfit to communicate a Valentine’s Day message had anything to do with an attempt to communicate his perceived preferences for Nelson Chamisa’s CCC.

In a Twitter post directed at followers Monday, Nyoni was all in yellow while wishing his followers a Happy Valentine’s Day.

The message, as seen in the thread of the post, was perceived to be an endorsement of Chamisa’s party, which relaunched recently with yellow as its brand colour.

The yellow craze has hit the country to a point of a lot of locals deliberately putting on the colour to communicate their support for the opposition party.

However, GN27perfumes @GN27deepcleaning CEO took offence in an earlier story written by Zimstar News, suggesting he had caught up in the “yellow revolution”.

“Am I forced to post Red on Valentine’s Day? I wear and post what l feel suits me at any particular day. And how do you decide for me what I am communicating or not?

“My company’s main colour is yellow. Why weren’t you questioning me before all the issues surrounding the colour. I used to post yellow. Should I stop now?” said the former Highlanders and Caps United winger.

Nyoni is not new to politics, having at one time taken part in student activism while studying at NUST in Bulawayo.

At the time, he revealed his admiration for then President Robert whom he said had done a lot for the country.
