The killer of a Marondera pastor whose body was this week found murdered with an axe still lodged in her head left a note boasting about the gruesome act while also hinting he was a male out to revenge his jilting by the deceased.
Nelia Maringa (45)’s body was found at Grasslands Research Farm on Tuesday.
She had left home on Monday for prayers and also to fetch some firewood.
Her body was found half naked with a black top and white braa on, while the lower part was undressed with underwear and black skin tight dropped to knee level.
Also found at the crime scene was a bible and a counter book written Mercy Maringa’s on the cover.
She had fresh bruises on her right hip.
Her killer had time and temerity to scribble a note gloating over the gruesome act.
“To husband mark of the beast after maths of Chihure wakandirambirei this is just not manslaughter but a violent, brutal and toxic expression of love if not passion by ex-killer Maisiri paWedza,” read the note.
Maringa’s body of the woman was conveyed to Marondera Provincial Hospital awaiting test for rape and a post-mortem.
