Grisly murder as female pastor found pant lowered to knees, axe sunk in her head

In another case of a grisly murder that occurred in Marondera this week, a woman was Tuesday found dead with an axe still sunk in her head while her pants were still lowered to the knees.

Police revealed the sad murder of the woman who was identified as Nelia Maringe, a pastor.

“The ZRP is investigating a murder case in which the body of a woman (45) was found lying half naked with pants dropped to knee level and an axe embedded on the left side of the head at Grasslands Farm, Marondera on 08/02/22. #notomurder,” said the police via their official Twitter handle.

The body of Maringe was discovered in a bush near Grasslands Research Station in Marondera, a day after she did not return home from prayers.

Maringe had recently completed theology studies with the AFM church.

Provincial police spokesperson Inspector Simon Chazovachii confirmed the incident.

“We appeal to those who may have information that may lead to the arrest of the suspect to alert the nearest police station,” he said.

The incident follows the shock murder of a 14-year-old boy allegedly by a sex worker whom had earlier been hired by the juvenile for sex.
