Controversial Zanu PF director of information and publicity Tafadzwa Mugwadi has been fired from the lofty position by the ruling party.
Reasons for his sacking are not yet known.
He is the latest candidate to get the boot following an emerging list of recent high profile sackings within the party.
The former student leader is a one time ally to the opposition MDC before his surprise switch to Zanu PF.
He has clashed with a lot of people through his disdainful comments towards anti-Zanu PF forces.
Mugwadi also once almost torched a diplomatic row between Zanu PF and South Africa’s ruling ANC after he threatened to leak a bombshell about the ANC’s “real reasons” behind its officials’ trip to Zimbabwe at the time.
Then Zanu PF national spokesperson Simon Khaya Moyo, now late, was later summoned to clean up the diplomatic mess, describing the party’s problem child as “mischievous”.
This followed a visit to the country by an ANC delegation 2020 on “matters of mutual interest”.
Party President Emmerson Mnangagwa recently fired director of administration Dickson Dzora ostensibly over a corruption scandal.
Dzora’s sacking came hard on the heels of Owen Mudha Ncube’s sacking by Mnangagwa as State Security Minister.
