Firebrand trade unionist Peter Mutasa has been elected Crisis in Zimbabwe Coalition president, beating his challenger Samuel Wadzayi by a close three votes.

This follows a virtual Annual General Meeting by the grouping this Wednesday.

Mutasa, the immediate past president of the Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions, polled 26 votes against Wadzayi’s 23.

The presidency of the 87 member CSO grouping is a strong position which has influence on the national political discourse.
