A 30-year-old man is on the run after he allegedly killed his girlfriend he was accusing of infidelity.
In a tweet Wednesday, police said they were looking for Peter Tshuma Fuyane, who allegedly disappeared after committing the abuse on Sunday.
Said the police, “The ZRP is appealing for information which may lead to the arrest of Peter Tshuma Fuyane (30) who is being sought by the police in connection with a case of murder which occurred on 12/12/21 at about 2200 hours.
“The suspect is alleged to have severely assaulted his girlfriend, Silethokuhle Gumbo, on allegations of infidelity.
“The victim’s condition deteriorated and succumbed to the injuries on 14/12/21. #notomurder”
Police did not give further details on the incident.
Meanwhile, in another incident, police say they have arrested Mncedisi Ncube and Thobani Khumalo (26) in connection with a case of murder which occurred at Carmen Farm, Esigodini on Sunday.
Police added, “The two suspects, together with one, only known as ‘Boss’, fatally assaulted Lawrence Khumalo (23) all over the body with stones and logs after a misunderstanding over an undisclosed issue at a beer binge.
“On noticing that the victim was unconscious, the suspects threw the victim into Umzingwane River. The body was later found floating in the river with a deformed skull 13/12/21. #notomurder.”
Cases of murder are now prevalent with many police crime alerts on the violent crime now common.
