Police have finally released names of the five armed robbers who on Monday night invaded ex-detective Joseph Nhemaisa’s Chadcombe home in Harare in a scene that saw the instant killing of three of the invaders by the homeowner.
During the incident, two suspects, an ex-police officer and a serving member of the Zimbabwe National Army escaped from scene.
The escapee suspects are Francis Takura (33), an ex-Constable and Private Virimai Nyandoro (37).
The three suspects who were killed by the homeowner are Brian Koga Tendere (38), of Chikupo Village, Murewa; Charles Chirara (30) of Ushewokunze, Harare and Tariro Gora (21) of One Commando Barracks, Harare.
Police also recovered some tools suspected to have been used by the suspects to break into homes and some ammunition.
