Three Dema juveniles aged 8, 11 and 16 belonging to the Hwiridza family died tragically Monday when they were burnt beyond recognition in a hut in which they were sleeping in.
Police confirmed the incident.
“Police in Dema are investigating a sudden death case which occurred on 08/11/21 at 0045 hours at Sengu Village, Seke. Three juveniles aged 8, 11 and 16 were burnt beyond recognition when the hut they were sleeping in caught fire. The origin and cause of the fire is not known,” said the police via their official Twitter handle Tuesday.
Police said investigations into the tragedy were in progress.
The minors are Anesu (16), Kundai (11) and Tadiwa (8).
The incident comes just two days after two brothers — aged nine and 14 — died Saturday after being bitten by a black mamba (rovambira).
Tawananyasha (9) and Tinotenda Newman Mujeyi (14) of Gandidze Village under Chief Makumbe, died on their way to Murambinda Mission Hospital moments after being bitten by the venomous reptile.
