Zanu PF has barred unvaccinated delegates from attending its annual conference set for Bindura December this year.
This was revealed to the media by acting party spokesperson Mike Bimha Monday.
The conference is being held virtually with delegates set to congregate in their respective provinces while following proceedings virtually.
The decision to block unvaccinated delegates from attending was arrived at by the politburo which is keen to reduce the number of delegates at the national event and those set to assemble at provincial virtual centres.
“It also endorsed the need to follow the Covid-19 regulations and protocols. This implies that all delegates at each provincial centre must have been vaccinated and tested. They must be able to observe social distancing,” Bimha said.
The conference will be held in a format that will see politburo and central committee members meeting at the Bindura University of Science Education while across the country, party delegates will follow events from designated centres in each province.
Zanu PF skipped its annual indaba last year because of the Covid-19 menace.
