Harare girl (11) disappears

An 11-year-old Grade Five pupil has gone missing for almost three days after reportedly leaving her parents’ home in Harare’s Craneborne suburb to buy some jiggies outside.

Police have launched an appeal for any information that could lead to the location of Ethel Nyoni who went missing since 2pm Monday.

Said police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi in a Tuesday statement, “The Zimbabwe Republic Police is appealing for information which may lead to the location of a minor, Ethel Nyoni (11) who went missing on 29 August 2021 in Craneborne at 1400 hours.

“The minor left home claiming that she wanted to buy some jiggies. She did not come back. Ethel is a Grade 5 student who was last seen wearing a yellow blouse, black leg in and black tennis shoes.”
