Chiwenga in charge as ED leaves for Hichilema inauguration

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has left the country to attend Zambian president-elect Hakainde Hichilema’s inauguration as the neighbouring country’s new leader.

In his absence, said Information Permanent Secretary Nick Mangwana in a tweet Monday, Vice President Constantino Chiwenga shall remain acting President.

Although he was invited together with MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa, Mnangagwa did not find the wisdom of travelling on the same flight with his main opposition rival.
